Frequently Asked Questions

What is Co-Active coaching?

Co-Active Coaching is a well-known coaching model developed by CTI (Co-Active Training Institute) that emphasizes a holistic, relationship-based approach to coaching. It is grounded in the belief that people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole—meaning they have the ability to find their own solutions when given the right support and guidance.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching and therapy can sometimes feel similar, as both involve deep conversations, personal growth, and transformation. The key difference is focus and scope. Therapy is grounded in counseling techniques and often centers on mental health and healing, while coaching is future-oriented, focusing on discovery, awareness, and choice. While I am a trained counselor, my coaching sessions are designed around coaching techniques. If a client would benefit from mental health support, I will always refer them to the appropriate resources.

Let’s say someone feels stuck or unfulfilled in a particular area of life. Coaching could help them clarify their goals and values and create the space for exploration in partnership with the coach.

How long are sessions?

Coaching sessions range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, tailored to your needs. To maximize the impact, I encourage a commitment of at least three to six months. My goal is to equip you with the tools and strategies to navigate any challenge with confidence.

How much?

I understand that pricing is an important factor in choosing a coach. Rather than listing a fixed rate, I discuss pricing after our intro call to ensure coaching is the right fit for you. I also offer flexible options to accommodate different financial situations because I believe coaching should be accessible. If you're curious, let's chat!

What do sessions look like?

Intro Session

This free 30-minute session is an opportunity to explore what coaching is (and isn’t), experience a sample coaching session, and ask any questions before committing to a coaching partnership.

Foundation Session

Once we begin working together, our first full session will focus on getting to know you—your story, values, and what matters most to you. This conversation sets the foundation for our coaching journey and helps us co-create a coaching relationship that best supports your growth.

Ongoing Sessions

Each session is centered around your agenda—whatever is most relevant to you in the moment. While you may start with a specific goal in mind, life is unpredictable, and priorities can shift. For example, I initially sought coaching for relationships but experienced a layoff right before my first session, shifting my focus entirely. The beauty of coaching is that growth in one area naturally influences other aspects of life.
